Our ancestors shed their blood, building the Fatherland. The communist leaders sold it out to foreign countries
From the day our Ancestors founded and built the Fatherland over 5,000 years ago, they did not cease to shed blood to improve it. All the heroes continuously and vigorously fought the foreign invaders to protect the Nation. Under any reign, the people of Vietnam never enjoyed the peace and prosperity for a long time before the continuous expansion of the Northern Empire and the invasion of European colonist.
In the advance to the South of the Nguyen Dynasty building and improving the south part in order to establish the biggest nation in the history, the Nguyen Seigneurs and Emperors continued to combat the enemies vigorously. They fought to protect every piece of sacred land; even sometimes the whole nation fell into the tragic situation of the invasion war of foreign invaders.
In the autumn of 1558, in the forefront to the South, the Seigneur Nguyen Hoang with his loyal officers and a few groups of combatants occupied every piece of the Southland. Step by step he, with the people, gradually established a prosperous and fertile Southland, erected a strong foundation for the whole country of Vietnam later. Next the Seigneur Nguyen Phuc Chu erected Saigon City. Mac Cuu, a Chinese mandarin, fled away from the Chinese Empire, became the Seigneur's loyal official. Being a talent, he built a prosperous island named Ha Tien near the bottom of the Southland. He adored and respected the Seigneur and Nguyen Dynasty with all his heart, bestowed the whole island to the Seigneur and the nation of Vietnam.
In 1778, the Seigneur Nguyen Phuc Anh, the only survivor of the Nguyen Dynasty after the reign of Nguyen Tay Son occupied the whole Kingdom and massacred the Seigneur and his son, heir to the Throne, stood up to restore the Nguyen Phuc Dynasty. Although the whole Imperial Family was killed, he was still brave and patient to fight the strong dominant force. He was only the Seigneur's nephew, and 17 years old at that time, but he was really a hero.
After 24 years of adversity and difficult fight, he overcame all obstacles and obtained the victory. In June 12, 1801, he re-occupied the Hue Imperial Capital. The army of the Seigneur Nguyen Phuc Anh was very strong and consisted of 107,000 soldiers with many battalions of horses and elephants, and 26,000 navy combatants. His navy force went up 450 war ships and gunboats. All the combatants were trained professionally and carefully. They fought perfectly in the big-scaled operations. In 1802, he advanced the enormous military troops in the North and defeated the Trinh Dynasty, and occupied Hanoi City, the Capital of the Trinh Kingdom.
In 1802, he announced to be the Emperor of Vietnam. He re-unified the whole country from Nam Quan Gate (boundary between China and Vietnam) to Ca Mau Province (the bottom piece of the country land). His dynasty name was the Emperor Gia Long. He also named the nation Vietnam. Therefore, the word "Vietnam" that all the people lovely called and known by the world was named in his reign.
He spent 12 years to rebuild the country. Although the time of stabilizing all affairs for the country took pretty long, he already had erected the strong foundation for the development of the country later.
Inherited his father's enormous results of building the basic nation foundation, the Emperor Minh Mang continued to develop the country to the fullest expansion (1835). Being an intelligent and benevolent Emperor, Minh Mang was a Great Emperor of Vietnam and in the Southeast Asia. He enlarged the country beyond the boundary of Vietnam, up to the other countries in the Indo-China. He built the largest Empire in the history of Vietnam. In His reign, Vietnam was famous with the name "the Great Dai Nam".
Up to the modern time from 1948 to 1954, Former Emperor Bao Dai returned to power in 1948 after he dethroned in August 25, 1945 before the Viet Minh Communist movement's pressure. He announced to the people that he had to abdicate himself because of "the Happiness of the People and the Independence of the Country". He said in a message to the people: "I want to be a citizen of the independent country better than a King in the dominated country."
In 1949, when he returned to seize the power, he declared to be the Chief of State of Vietnam. He would like to run the regime under the form of constitutional monarchist government. He devoted to protect the unity of the country and the independence of the nation. In the joint "Declaration Commune" made in June 5, 1948 between French Government and Vietnam under the presence of Bao Dai in the Along Bay (Vinh Ha Long), the France solemnly recognizes the Independence of Vietnam. Vietnam has the freedom to execute the reuniting of the country.
In the Annex IV signed in June 8, 1949 in Paris, the President of the Republic of France Vincent Auriol and the Prime-Minister of the French Government H. Queuille confirmed the principles relating to the Indepndence and Unity of the Nation of Vietnam. In the above Annex, they solemnly confirmed the return of Cochinchine (Colonist Southern Country including Saigon) to the whole Nation of Vietnam. It clearly determined three main parts including Tonkin (North Vietnam, Central Vietnam and Cochinchine (South Vietnam).
In June 2nd, 1948, the Prime-Minister Nguyen Van Xuan of the Vietnamese National Government under the leadership of Chief of State Bao Dai announced to the people of Vietnam the National Anthem and National Flag. The National Flag was consisted of three red stripes symbolizing three parts of the Nation of Vietnam (North, Central and South Vietnam). The red symbolized the brotherhood blood and happiness of the people. The Flag background was Yellow. That was the color of the Imperial Family symbolizing the Kingdom. Thus, under the Yellow Flag and with the vigorous National Anthem those millions of brave citizens sacrificed their lives and shed out blood to protect, were established under the era of the Chief of State Bao Dai.
Finally Vietnam gained the Independence and Unity of the Nation in the peaceful struggle without shedding any blood of the people. That stemmed from our ancestors' efforts and courageous resistance against the dominant forces. This accomplishment was as great as that of the Emperor Gia Long in the struggle reuniting the whole country in 1802.
Before this great success for the country and people of Vietnam, Vietminh Communists strived to ruin all the accomplishments because they lost the control and power toward the people. Therefore under the leadership of the international Communists, the traitor Ho Chi Minh secretly ordered his colleagues (Communist Cadres) to damage all those concrete results of the people |
